Oreo Monkey Bread Cupcakes

For some reason, I always have a can of biscuit dough sitting in my fridge. Weirdly enough, I always have a pack of Oreos sitting in my pantry. One day I decided to initiate a marriage between the two! This monkey bread recipe was my go-to dessert to make during college. It is very easy and requires only a few ingredients. Add this recipe to your dessert rotation!

Makes 6 Cupcakes⁣⁣

8 Oreos - Crushed⁣⁣

5 Biscuits - (Store-Bought Canned Biscuits)⁣⁣

1/2 Stick or 4 Tbsp of Butter ⁣⁣

1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar ⁣⁣

4 oz of Cream Cheese (Softened)⁣⁣

1/2 Cup of Powder Sugar⁣⁣

1 Tsp of Vanilla⁣⁣

5 Tsp of Milk⁣⁣

Cut each biscuit into 6 equal-sized pieces. Flatten each dough piece with the palm of your hand and add 1/4 tsp of crushed Oreos into the center of each piece and then roll into a ball. Once you stuff all your dough pieces with Oreos, melt butter. Add brown sugar to the melted butter and mix until the brown sugar is combined. ⁣⁣

Dip each dough ball into the brown sugar butter mixture and then into the crushed Oreos to coat the outside. Next, fill your cupcake pan with cupcake liners. Add 5 Oreo coated stuffed dough balls into each liner. Lastly, add remaining brown sugar butter on top of the dough. Bake on 375° for 12-15 minutes or until the top begins to turn golden brown. ⁣⁣

While the Oreo monkey bread is baking, add softened cream cheese to a bowl. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, mix until the cream cheese is fluffy. Next add powder sugar, vanilla, and milk. Mix until it reaches a loose consistency, add more milk if the texture is not loose enough. ⁣⁣

Once you remove the monkey bread from the oven, let it cool for about 3 minutes and then drizzle the cream cheese frosting on top!⁣⁣
